We do not run a shop. What comes out of the research sits in cafes willing to try it, so it turns up in the middle of a day someone was already having

The owner, Joe, is funny enough that you forget you came in for a coffee. He holds his desserts to an obsessive standard and has a sharp palate, so anything slightly off gets remade. That is why the desserts here are genuinely good, and also why catching one takes luck. The shop's Instagram is its own thing: every post is written in the first person as the cat, and the owner stays hidden behind it. One more thing: there is a cat in the name, but not in the shop. The cat stays at his place.

What you can get here
Espresso and pour-over, tea, desserts and light meals, plus a frozen drink or two in summer. The desserts have no fixed menu; it depends on whether Joe feels like baking that day.
